Meet Corallus Batesii
The Emerald Tree Boa is one of the most breathtaking snakes on earth. Native to the Amazon Basin, Corallus batesii is known for:
- Brilliant emerald-green coloration
- Bold white to yellow lightning crossbars
- Heat-sensing pits along the lips
- A calm but confident disposition when properly raised
These boas spend their lives in the canopy, coiled over branches in the classic “horseshoe” pose. In captivity they thrive with stable humidity, gentle airflow, and consistent feeding routines.
Not every basin emerald looks the same—and that’s exactly what makes them special. The textbook animals are beautiful, but the non-textbook patterns are the ones that stop people in their tracks.
